Lego Deborah is an upcoming biblical-epic brickfilm directed by Valente Q. Castro, released by Quintero-Castro Studios, and introducing Delia Castro-Gómez in the title role with Antonio Castro and Isabela Castres in supporting roles. The short is the studios' second Bible feature, after Lego Ahab and Jezebel. It will be one of the first extravagant big-budget films, and it will be dubbed into Spanish with the dubbings provided by the same voice actors. It is expected to be released in Spanish for Mexico and Latin America with the title, Débora, la profetiza.
The film portrays the narrative summary of Israel's accounts in Judges 4 and 5 during Deborah's rule as judge of the ten tribes. It will also center on Jael, and her heroic act which she performed in her tent, that of killing the Canaanite general Sisera with a tent peg. Lego Deborah will also be featured as the studios' first film to use bluescreen technology, or chroma key, for scenes with two different shots matted into one another. It is expected to be released in Sony Handycam with editing done in Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 and promotional photography and stills in Adobe Premiere Elements 6.0. It is hoped to be released in December 2011, and is currently 45% finished.
